Year 4 RE lesson request

As part of the Year 4 RE curriculum, we are looking at the concept of ‘devotion’ through the Hindu festival of Mahashviratri. To bring this concept to life, we would like the children to bring to school an item to which they feel devoted. This could be the physical item or a photograph of the item or a person. This will then form the basis of a class discussion before applying it to an activity.

The item must align with the following criteria:

• No larger than A4
• It can have sentimental value but no high monetary value
• Items must be clearly labelled and stored in a bag
• Items must stay in the classroom for the whole day
• Items will be taken home at the end of the day

If your child is in 4LK, please bring the item in for Thursday 26^th March.

If your child is in 4SH, please bring the item in for Monday 23^rd March.
