British Science Week 2023
The 10th - 19th March 2023 is British Science Week; a celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths. This year’s science week theme is ‘Connections to our Planet’ and we will be following this theme by exploring stories and videos about our planet, taking part in investigations and learning from experts.
As well as celebrating Science Week through activities at school, we are holding a competition for you to enjoy as a family at home. Our school focus will be about the importance of caring for animals, where our food comes from and the environmental impact of food production. Therefore, we would like your project or investigation to be all about FOOD! You could do some research on where your favourite foods come from, make edible slime or create a fruit volcano. Anything that connects to food!
You can bring your completed project into school, or if you prefer, you can use our online platforms to upload your work. (Year R – Tapestry, KS1 Purple Mash, KS2 Seesaw). Please hand in your completed project by Friday the 21st April 2023. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative projects.
