Dear Parents and Carers,

 

Firstly, I would like to welcome you all back for a new academic year. As we come to the end of our first week back at school, I wanted to thank you for your continued support and to congratulate all the children on such a positive start to the new term.

 

It has been wonderful to see how quickly everyone has settled back into school routines. Staff have been incredibly impressed with the children's attitudes, behaviour and readiness to make the most of every opportunity.

 

I am particularly delighted to see so many children attending school every day this week. Excellent attendance is one of the most important factors in ensuring children thrive both academically and socially. These first ten days are vital, being in school every day helps children build strong friendships, develop confidence and make the best possible progress in their learning. Any child who attends every day during this first ten-day period will receive a reward and will also be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a prize.

 

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be sending out an online survey for families to complete. Some of the questions will be aimed at you as parents and carers, while others will seek the views of your children. It is important that the Federation continues to develop and move in a direction that reflects the wishes and priorities of the whole school community. Your feedback, alongside your child's views, will help shape our future planning and ensure that every voice is heard.

 

Thank you once again for your support in helping your children arrive at school every day, on time and ready to learn. Together, we can ensure every child has the very best opportunities to succeed.

 

Whenever possible, I will be out and about on the playgrounds or by the school gates at the start and end of the school day. Please do come and say hello if you would like to discuss anything or simply have a chat.
