Equality Objectives
The South View Federation recognises that the public sector equality duty has three aims:
- Eliminate discrimination, harassment, victimisation and any other conduct that is prohibited by or under this Act.
- Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a relevant protected characteristic and people who do not share it.
- Foster good relations between people who share a relevant protected characteristic and people who do not share it.
We have considered how well we currently achieve these aims with regard to the protected groups under the Equality Act (race, disability, gender, gender re-assignment, age, pregnancy and maternity, marital status, sexual orientation, religion and belief and sexual orientation).
Having referred to and analysed our equality information, we have set ourselves the following objectives:
Objective 1: To monitor attainment at the end of the year of all the different groups identified on the cohort tracker.
Objective 2: To measure pupil engagement in extra-curricular activities and other responsibilities by gender, ethnicity, SEND and whether the pupil attends either of the resourced provisions.
Objective 3: To monitor and support attendance of all groups of children across the Federation.
Our Equality Policy is available on our Policy page.
