Starting School dates – Part time, commencing 7^th September 2026

Starting school can be quite daunting for some children and we are therefore recommending that all children begin school with two part time days and in smaller groups. We understand that some children will already be attending a pre-school full time and do not require a phased entry. However, there will be other children who do, therefore we are able to offer the following options for starting school:

Autumn children: children born between 1^st September – 31^st December.

Spring children: children born between 1^st January – 31^st March.

Summer children: children born between 1^st April – 31^st August.

Monday 7^th September

8.45-12.15 p.m. – Summer children visit for the morning and stay for lunch.

1.00-3.15 p.m. – Autumn and Spring children visit for the afternoon.

Tuesday 8^th September

8.45-12.15 p.m. – Autumn and Spring children visit for the morning and stay for lunch.

1.00-3.15 p.m. – Summer children visit for the afternoon.

Wednesday 9^th September onwards

Option A

Full time option (recommended option)

8.45 a.m. - 3.15 p.m.

Option B

Part time options

1. Mornings 8.45-11.45 a.m.

2. Mornings 8.45-1.00 p.m. children will stay for lunch

We recommend that all children are attending full time by half term. (Monday 26^th October 2026)

If you decide to choose part-time, there will be the opportunity to gradually introduce full days. Your child’s class teacher will be happy to discuss these options with you during the school visit.
