Cashpot for Schools at Asda
Sat 30 Nov 2024As one of the UK's largest federated charities, Parentkind has spent the last 68 years dedicated to supporting school fundraising. We are now thrilled to share that we are partnering with Asda on their Cashpot for Schools campaign. Asda is making millions of pounds available to every state primary school in the UK this autumn term and Parentkind will be distributing these funds to registered schools.
From now until 30th November 2024, when customers shop with Asda using their Rewards app, they can choose a primary school to donate 0.5% of the value of their spend to. Plus, for every customer who chooses your school, Asda will put £1 into your Cashpot, and another £50 when your school's first opted-in customer spends in-store or online!

Junior School Cake Sale
Thu 21 Nov 2024Dear Parents,
We are excited to be able to hold our annual cake sale again this year! It will be held on Thursday 21st November and is an opportunity to raise money for the school. Next week, your child will be bringing home a paper plate on which we ask you to make donations of cakes or biscuits for the sale. If you are donating pre-packaged cakes, please can they be brought in on Wednesday 20th November. If you are donating fresh cakes, please can they be brought in on Thursday 21st November. Please can all donations be brought to the food technology room in the main corridor.
We will also be running a cake competition for the children. Every year, the standard of cakes just gets better and better! This year, the theme will be France as the language we learn at South View is French! The children’s entries could be based on the colours of the French flag, a famous monument or an aspect of French culture.
Also, to raise money we will be running a children’s and adult’s raffle which we would really appreciate donations for. We ask that raffle items be brought into school on Wednesday 20th November.
Next week, I will send another letter with further details about when your child’s class will be visiting the sale.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Miss Sheldon
