  • Christmas Jumper Days 2025

    Tue 16 Dec 2025

    Christmas Jumper Days 2025

This year Christmas jumper day will take place on the same day as Christmas dinner day.  All children can come to school wearing a Christmas jumper. This is just for fun and is not to raise money for charity.

The Infant school will have Christmas Jumper Day on Tuesday 16th December and the Junior school on Wednesday 17th December

Remember, there’s no need to buy a new jumper. You could upcycle an old jumper, decorate a jumper or head to your local charity shop to buy a pre-loved festive knit.

We look forward to seeing lots of children dressed in festive jumpers. The rest of their uniform should be as it usually is.

    Dear Parents and Carers,

Support for families NOT on Free School Meals

Under the Connect4communities-ProgrammeSupport-for-Vulnerable-Families, we have been fortunate enough to secure some money to provide support for parents/carers who may be struggling during these difficult times. To enable us to use this money for the benefit of as many families as possible, we have provided a form for you to complete if you feel you would benefit from some support.

Please note, any information you include will only be seen by a few key staff.

The help can be provided in a number of different ways for the following:

    • Food e.g. food voucher for Christmas holiday
    • Kitchen essentials e.g. Kettle, toaster, microwave, sandwich toaster
    • Items to keep warm - localised heating (oil filled radiator/electric heater) hot water bottles, blankets/duvets
    • Wider essentials e.g. school uniform, clothing, sanitary products, hygiene/cleaning products

Anyone can apply for some support, you do not need to be on benefits or free school meals.  If you think that we would be able to help in some way, please complete the form by clicking the link below.

  • Local Area SEND Inspection Survey 2025

    Fri 05 Dec 2025

We have been asked by Services for Young Children to ask our parent's to complete a short survey.

They want to ensure that they are reaching everyone that might want to share with inspectors. By answering just a few short questions now, you’ll help them:

    • Confirm that you’ll receive key updates and surveys when the inspection begins
    • Identify and address any gaps in our current communication pathways.

Your input is vital to making sure that everyone’s voice can be heard during this important process. Thank you for taking a moment to support this work.

Help Us Strengthen Our Communication Networks – Fill in form

The survey will close at 5pm on Friday 5 December.

If you have any future general enquiries for Services for Young Children, please complete the General Enquiry form.

  • Free Online Monthly Drop-ins for parents & carers

    Fri 05 Dec 2025

We would like to let you know about a free online support opportunity for parents and carers that is run through the Autism Family Support Service.

The next drop-in takes place in December. Normally, we run the 'You Are Not Alone' drop-in on the 1st Tuesday of the month but in December we are doing something special.

Instead of 1 drop-in session we are going to run 5 drop-in sessions from Monday 1st December - Friday 5th December from 7pm - 8.30pm.

As well as having the opportunity to ask general questions, every drop-in has a theme. Here's the list:

Monday: Autism journey rant - share anything that you are frustrated about and more..

Tuesday: Education - School - EOTAS - Home education and more..

Wednesday - Understanding autism and PDA and more..

    Thursday - Emotional regulation -

Friday - Social development - so much more is possible

    Who runs the sessions?

I'm Erik Wagter, co-founder of Autism Family Support Service, currently also working as a Social Worker/Manager for Early Help.

Alongside being a social worker, trainer and Solution Focused family coach, he also bring over two decades of personal lived family experience of autism. From time to time he will be joined by his wife Sally Wagter, who is a teacher, author and trainer.

These sessions are a chance for parents to talk openly, learn, and connect. They don't have to do this on their own.

    Kind regards,

    Erik & Sally Wagter
