  • Christmas Jumper Day

    Fri 08 Dec 2023

On Friday 8th December, we will be taking part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. We know times are tough, so please remember that donations are optional (it’s having tons of fun that’s mandatory!) and any amount you can spare – 10p, 20p, 50p – makes you an awesome fundraiser.

Remember, there’s no need to buy a new jumper. You could upcycle an old jumper, get crafty or head to your local charity shop to buy a pre-loved festive knit. If you want to get creative and decorate a jumper, the Christmas Jumper Day website contains lots of fun craft ideas. We’d appreciate your support to make Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day a success. Together, we can make the world better with a sweater.

We look forward to seeing lots of children dressed in festive jumpers. The rest of their uniform should be as it usually is.

    Thank you for your support,

    Miss Allen

  • Junior Christmas Performance 2023

    Mon 27 Nov 2023

It is almost time for our lower school Christmas production! This year, there will be three performances to give everyone an opportunity to watch their child perform on stage. The performances will be on:

    Wednesday 6th December at 1.30 p.m.

    Wednesday 6th December at 5.00 p.m.

    Thursday 7th December at 5.00 p.m.

For the Wednesday and Thursday performances at 5.00 p.m., the children need to be back at school for 4.30 p.m. From 4.30 p.m. onwards, we will be serving mince pies and drinks which you can take through to the main hall for the performance. It is always disappointing for the children when they have worked hard and parents don’t bring them back for the performance.  Unless you have exceptional circumstances, and notify us in advance, please make sure your child comes back for the 5.00 p.m. performances.

Tickets are required for all performances. There is no charge; however, due to popular demand, there is a limit to 2 tickets per family.

Please click this link to order your tickets.

If you are not able to attend the Wednesday and Thursday afternoon performances, your child will still need to be collected after the performance at 6.00 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you there.

  • Just One Tree Campaign 2023

    Thu 02 Nov 2023

    Dear Parents and Carers,

    JUST ONE Tree Campaign

JUST ONE Tree, an official partner in the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, is an award-winning non-profit organisation helping to remove CO2 from the atmosphere and reverse biodiversity loss through global reforestation.

JUST ONE Tree supports reforestation projects in areas severely affected by deforestation such as Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique and Brazil. In doing so they have the greatest positive effect on limiting global warming whilst simultaneously alleviating extreme poverty within local communities through the provision of training, agricultural education and sustainable incomes.

To help raise money, our school will be taking part in JUST ONE Tree Day on 10th November 2023. This is open to all children across the Federation. Each child is encouraged to wear an item of clothing or accessory that is green and bring in 50p to help towards tackling the climate crisis.  School uniform does not have to be worn on this day

More information can be found at: https://www.justonetree.life/

We look forward to counting the number of trees that our school community can fund!

    Yours sincerely,

    Miss Darch
